Day 1

DEPART FOR LJUBLJANA, SLOVENIA

Start your Journey with us by enjoying a private car pick up service from your home. Upon arrival at the airport, guests departing from the Toronto airport are assisted with their checkin. Meet your Journey Manager and fellow guests, and board your flights to Slovenia. Our Journey Manager travels with you to take care of all the details, allowing you to embrace your Journey.

LJUBLJANA, SLOVENIA

Arrive in Ljubljana and settle into the hotel before enjoying a city tour to discover the Old City center. Stroll around the picturesque open-air market, the renowned Triple Bridge, Robba’s Fountain, and the stunning baroque Town Hall. We’ll enjoy a relaxed dinner at the hotel in anticipation of our Journey ahead.

EXPLORING LJUBLJANA & LAKE BLED, SLOVENIA

The day begins with a guided morning tour of Ljubljana, Slovenia’s scenic capital. Explore the picturesque banks of the Ljubljanica River, the vibrant Tromostovje Square, and the majestic Cathedral in the historic old town center. After discovering the highlights of the capital, travel to Lake Bled, with a stop for an authentic Slovenian lunch in the charming village of Radovljica.

Following lunch, experience why Lake Bled is celebrated as a top Alpine resort with its stunning beauty and mild climate. Board a traditional Pletna boat to the enchanting island at the lake’s heart and visit the iconic 15th-century Church of the Assumption. Then, ascend to Bled Castle, perched on a steep cliff, for panoramic views and a look into its chapel, wine cellar, and museum featuring Gutenberg’s printing press.

PLITVICE LAKES NATIONAL PARK

Today unfolds with a visit to Plitvice National Park, Croatia’s largest and most renowned natural wonder. Begin with a traditional Lika County lunch, savoring regional dishes that capture the essence of Croatian cuisine. Then, explore the park’s enchanting lakes and waterfalls, which earned it a UNESCO World Heritage designation in 1979 and is celebrated as one of Europe’s most beautiful natural parks, nestled in the mountainous region of Lika.

After a day immersed in nature, travel to Zadar, the final stop before boarding the chartered cruise. Enjoy a relaxing evening at a luxurious 5-star coastal wellness hotel, known for its tranquil natural setting.

ZADAR, CROATIA

Begin the day with a captivating city tour of Zadar’s historical center, best explored on foot to fully appreciate its defensive walls built by the Venetians in the 16th century to protect against the Turks. Start at the Port Gate, where the Venetian Lion stands guard, then visit the Square of the Five Wells, the Church of St. Donat, the Roman Forum from the 1st century BC, and St. Anastasia’s Cathedral, the largest in Dalmatia.

Enjoy a delightful lunch in the city before travelling to Split, where the luxurious MS Ambassador awaits. This evening, meet the ship’s crew and captain and enjoy a splendid Welcome Dinner, marking the beginning of the sea portion of the Journey.

SPLIT & TROGIR, CROATIA

Awaken in Split, Croatia’s vibrant second-largest city, ready to explore its 1,700-year history. An English-speaking guide will lead a morning tour through the historic center, a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1979, featuring Diocletian’s Palace and its cultural landmarks.

Afterward, enjoy a scenic lunch on the ship as we sail to Trogir, another UNESCO World Heritage gem. Explore this quaint town’s museum and its stone houses, palaces, churches, monasteries, towers, and walls. The day’s highlight is the Cathedral of St. Lawrence, a stunning example of sacral architecture. Our guide will showcase Trogir’s best, and we’ll dine at a local restaurant. The ship remains docked in Trogir’s historical old town overnight.

BOL & HVAR, CROATIA

Our day begins with a morning departure, setting sail for Bol, renowned for having Croatia’s best beach for swimming, Zlatni Rat (the Golden Cape). Upon arrival, relax at a charming coffee shop, explore the town, or take a refreshing swim at the beach before returning to the ship for lunch.

After a delightful onboard lunch, continue the journey through stunning bays and coves to Hvar, the sunniest island in Croatia. Hvar is celebrated as one of the country’s premier tourist destinations and a hotspot for international jet-setters.

Immerse in the island’s history and culture while strolling through its streets and discovering its century-old lavender farming tradition. Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant before heading back to the ship, docked in the historical town for the night.

BIŠEVO BLUE CAVE & VIS, CROATIA

Our morning sail leads us to the Island of Biševo, famed for its enchanting Blue Cave. For the adventurous, the cave’s entrance lies below sea level, requiring a dive to experience its captivating deep blue and shiny silver hues. Dive deep and resurface into the cave’s mystical blue depths for an unforgettable experience.

Afterward, unwind as we cruise to Vis, a gem among Adriatic islands, untouched by tourism for many years. Its strategic location on the open sea preserved its pristine beauty, as it was a military zone. Vis is now celebrated for its beautiful beaches, unspoiled nature, ecological agriculture, and well-preserved architecture. Embrace the island’s charm with an afternoon tour, including a visit to the famous coastal town of Komiža. Enjoy a group dinner here before returning to the ship, docked in the town of Vis for the night.

Day 9

KORČULA, CROATIA

Start the day aboard with refreshments and ocean views, perhaps even a swim in the Adriatic Sea, before cruising toward the island of Korčula. Known as the birthplace of Marco Polo, Korčula invites you to explore its narrow, cobbled streets and rich history. Afterward, board a coach to visit local wine cellars and sample exquisite, fresh-pressed olive oil.

This evening, enjoy a traditional “peka” dinner in the village of Žrnovo. This special dish, featuring lamb and veal cooked under an iron bell, offers an authentic taste of the region. After a sumptuous dinner, return to Korčula where the MS Ambassador awaits in the Old Town.

MLJET NATIONAL PARK & SLANO, CROATIA

Our morning cruise brings us to Mljet National Park, a haven of tranquility and natural beauty. Explore the park’s Great and Small Lakes, visit the Islet of St. Mary with its 12th-century Benedictine Monastery, and take a refreshing swim in the heart of the park.

Return to the MS Ambassador for lunch before continuing across the channel to the Pelješac peninsula. Meet a local guide and board a coach to Ston, known for its well-preserved medieval city walls. Experience Ston’s renowned oysters with a visit to an oyster farm and a unique tasting at the source.

Conclude the day with a much-anticipated Captain’s dinner aboard the ship, featuring live music for an unforgettable evening.

DUBROVNIK, CROATIA

Our cruise concludes in Dubrovnik, where we sail past the stunning Elaphiti Islands and the city’s impressive fortifications while enjoying lunch on board. A local English-speaking guide will greet us at the pier and transfer us to Dubrovnik’s Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Explore its highlights with the group, then enjoy free time to discover more—whether strolling the famous city walls or taking the cable car to Mount Srđ for breathtaking views. Experience firsthand why Dubrovnik is known as the Pearl of the Adriatic.

Conclude the day with a group dinner, sharing stories and savoring local cuisine at a charming restaurant. Afterward, there will be more time to fully enjoy Dubrovnik at your leisure.

CAVTAT AND ČILIPI

Today, we visit Cavtat, an ancient seaside town known as Epidaurus during its Greek colonization. This picturesque town, with its stunning coastlines and harmonious architecture, remains one of the Adriatic’s most attractive destinations. After exploring Cavtat, we head to Čilipi village, the largest settlement in Konavle, where local traditions come to life. Discover the unique micro-urban unit around the Parish of St. Nicholas, surrounded by traditional stone houses. Return to Dubrovnik for a restful evening after a day rich in exploration.
