Day 1

DEPART FOR PARIS, FRANCE

Have a relaxing start to your journey with a private car home pick up service to bring you to the airport. Guests departing from the Toronto airport are assisted with their check-in. Meet your Journey Manager alongside your fellow guests, and board your flight to Paris, France.

Welcome to Paris

Upon arrival, our local guide warmly welcomes us. Enjoy a leisurely lunch before settling into your room. The afternoon is yours to explore the charming streets of Paris at your own pace. In the evening, gather with your fellow travelers for a welcome dinner at our hotel.

Day 3

Exploring Paris

In store today is a full-day of exploring Paris, starting with a guided bus tour that unveils the city’s most renowned landmarks. Then, yourself in the world of art with a private VIP tour of the Louvre before a tranquil walk through the Tuileries Gardens, offering a serene escape amidst the bustling city.

Day 4

Monet’s Garden & Inspiration, Giverny

This morning, we bid au revoir to Paris and set out for Normandy. Our first stop is Giverny, where Claude Monet lived and worked from 1883 until his passing in 1926.

Now home to the Fondation Claude Monet museum, his beautifully restored house and enchanting gardens provide a glimpse into the artist’s private world. Wander through the lush blooms and serene water lily ponds that inspired his most celebrated masterpieces.

Day 5

Juno Beach, Arromanches & The Legacy of Canada’s Heroes

On June 6, 1944, over 14,000 Canadian soldiers landed or parachuted into Normandy as part of the largest seaborne invasion in history. Despite the odds, these courageous soldiers played a pivotal role in securing Normandy.

We begin our day at the D-Day Museum in Arromanches, where the Allies built the artificial ‘Mulberry’ harbour to support the invasion. From the museum, enjoy views of the beach and remains of this engineering feat.

In the afternoon, walk on Juno Beach, reflecting on the same sand Canadian troops traversed in 1944. Our day concludes at the Canadian Cemetery in Beny-sur-Mer, a serene resting place for 2,049 soldiers and 15 airmen, where we pay respects to those who sacrificed their lives.

Day 6

Deauville, Honfleur & Noyon

Explore Deauville, a glamorous resort town, with an orientation tour before enjoying free time for lunch. Then, visit Honfleur, a charming harbour town steeped in maritime history, where Samuel de Champlain set sail for Canada.

Later, board the MS Deborah for a welcome cocktail before continuing to Noyon. This evening, take in the town’s 2,000-year history and its stunning Gothic cathedral illuminated at night.

Day 7

Armistice Memorial & Château de Compiègne

In the morning, enjoy a scenic cruise to Compiègne, followed by a guided tour of the city’s historic streets, including the 16th-century town hall and La Vieille Cassine. After a tasting of regional delicacies, visit the Armistice Memorial, home to the 1918 armistice train car and wartime artifacts.

Day 8

Château de Chantilly & Culinary Delights

Cruise to Pont-Sainte-Maxence before visiting the Château de Chantilly, home to the Duke of Aumale’s impressive art collection and one of France’s largest libraries.

In Saint-Leu-d’Esserent, a member of the Confrérie des Chevaliers Fouetteurs will teach us how to make traditional crème chantilly. After dinner, enjoy free time to explore the town or visit the abbatial church for scenic valley views.

Day 9

Van Gogh’s Auvers-sur-Oise & the Absinthe Experience

We begin the day with a scenic cruise to Auvers-sur-Oise, a village rich in artistic heritage. A guided tour reveals its connection to Vincent van Gogh, including the Artists’ Pathway, where Impressionist scenes come to life.

Next, we visit the Musée de l’Absinthe, capturing the bohemian spirit of the Belle Époque. Step into 19th-century cafés where absinthe, the famed “green fairy,” inspired artists, and enjoy a demonstration and tasting of this legendary drink.

Day 10

Vineyards and Artistic Treasures of Auvers-sur-Oise

This morning, we explore the Pressoir Auversois vineyards, offering a rare glimpse into the region’s winemaking heritage. Afterward, we visit the Maison-Atelier de Daubigny, once the studio of Charles-François Daubigny and a meeting place for artists like Camille Corot and Berthe Morisot.

We conclude with a tasting of local delicacies at Madame Guinguette before an afternoon sailing to Bougival.

Day 11

Château de Malmaison & the Lights of Paris

This morning, explore the Château de Malmaison, once home to Joséphine de Beauharnais and a center of power during Napoleon’s rule. Admire its preserved interiors, including the council chamber and music room, reflecting her artistic legacy.

After lunch aboard, enjoy a leisurely cruise toward Paris. In the evening, celebrate with a gala dinner, followed by a breathtaking nighttime cruise along the Seine.

PARIS & HOME

Hotel Astor, Paris

Nestled discreetly on a tranquil street in Paris’s prestigious luxury and fashion hub, Maison Astor Paris is a true hidden gem. Originally constructed in 1907 by John Jacob Astor IV, this hotel exudes a Parisian charm infused with rich history and the spirit of its illustrious founder.
Situated mere steps away from the iconic Avenue des Champs-Élysées, guests can immerse themselves in haute couture shopping and explore the nearby treasures of Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré and the Louvre.

Day 4 & 5

Hotel Le Lion D’Or, Bayeux

This former 18th-century post office is now a charming hotel located in one of Bayeux’s oldest quarters. It offers 24-hour reception and is close to the Bayeux Tapestry Museum.

Free Wi-Fi access is provided in each soundproofed room. All rooms are light and spacious and have their own bathroom with a hairdryer.

A buffet breakfast is available every morning. The hotel’s restaurant serves creative French cuisine. After dinner, guests can relax with a drink of Calvados and listen to some music by the fireplace in the lounge bar.
